Lawyers Association Launches Qatari Lawyer Day, Honoring the First Generation

Al Sharq newspaper covered the launch of Qatari Lawyer Day, organized by the Qatari Lawyers Association under the patronage and attendance of the Minister of Justice and Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs.

The event honored the first generation of Qatari lawyers, foremost among them lawyer Fouziya Saleh Al-Obaidly as the second female Qatari lawyer who helped cement women's role in the profession, alongside Qatar's first male lawyer and first female lawyer.

Speaking to the newspaper, Al-Obaidly affirmed that law is an ethical and social responsibility and a distinguished profession carrying a noble message, and that being honored on this day marks a moment of pride in a career spanning more than three decades, throughout which she strove to be a model encouraging young women to enter the field with confidence.
