Lawyers to Al Sharq: The Advocacy Law Amendment Advances the Profession Protecting Rights

Lawyer Fouziya Saleh Al-Obaidly gave an extended comment in an Al Sharq report on Law No. 19 of 2025, amending provisions of the Advocacy Law issued by Law No. 23 of 2006.

Al-Obaidly affirmed that the amendments represent a qualitative leap in the development of the legal profession, with provisions that strengthen the protection of rights, justice, and equality, keeping pace with the profession's remarkable growth in Qatar.

She noted that the new law reorganized the powers of State Lawyers at the Ministry of Justice, including representing government bodies before the courts, and that the amendments comprehensively covered all areas of the profession.
