Company Violations, Debts, and Cheque Cases Top Court Dockets

Lawyer Fouziya Saleh Al-Obaidly contributed to a report by Al Sharq newspaper on the types of cases most frequently litigated before Qatari courts.

Al-Obaidly explained that family cases are the most common before the personal status court, led by divorce cases and disputes over custody, alimony, and revocation of custody.

She attributed this rise to a lack of social awareness of the marital partnership's role, an absence of understanding between spouses and of mutual concession to keep married life stable, along with the absence of counseling in couples' lives.
